COUNCIL OF EUROPE OBSERVE ELECTION PROCESS IN ARMENIA

The council of Europe plans to observe the process of presidential and parliamentary elections in Armenia in 2003. CE Secretary General Walter Schwimmer, who is in Yerevan with a business visit, has stated that. According to him, the CE is interested in conducting “fair and open election in Armenia. “This is one of the key principles of Europe and Armenia is a European family member”, Schwimmer noted. It should be reminded, the presidential election in Armenia will take place in March and the parliamentary one will be conducted in 2003 May.
