PACE INTERESTED IN ASSISTING OSCE MINSK GROUP IN KARABAKH CONFLICT SETTLEMENT ISSUE

The parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) is interested in assisting the OSCE Minsk group in the Karabakh conflict settlement issue. The CE Secretary General Walter Schwimmer has stated that at the statement at Yerevan State University. He noted, exactly the PACE had appointed the reporter on Nagorno Karabakh. According to Schwimmer, the appointment of the reporter on Nagorno Karabakh will assist the international community in the striving the ways of the peaceful settlement of the conflict. “When Armenia and Azerbaijan joined the Council of Europe, we expressed hope the countries would try to find the settlement of the Karabakh conflict”, the CE Secretary General noted.
