The first two cases of infection with the new Omicron variant of the coronavirus have been reported in Armenia.
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention said on Saturday, January 8 the two people arrived in Armenia already infected with the virus. They have not been hospitalized and are receiving treatment at home.
The number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Armenia grew by 126 to reach 345,981 on January 10. So far, 332,985 people have recovered, 8004 have died from the coronavirus in the country, while 1512 others carrying the virus have died from other causes.
