ARMENIA-IMF COOPERATION TO CONTINUE SUCCESSFULLY

The cooperation between the International Monetary Fund and Armenia will continue successfully. Newly appointed head of the IMF mission Enrique Gilbert has stated that in the course of the meeting with president of Armenia Robert Kocharian, noting that “the IMF will assist Armenia in overcoming difficulties of the transition period with its advice”. Enrique Gilbert expressed the IMF notes regarding macroeconomic figures and current tendencies of the economic development of the republic, for which RA president provided explanations. Enrique Gilbert introduced the new IMF representative to Armenia James Macciu to R. Kocharian.
