PACE REPORTER ON NAGORNO KARABAKH PLANS TO VISIT CONFLICT ZONE IN NEAREST FUTURE

Reporter of the Parliamentary Assembly of the council of Europe Terry Devis plans to visit the Karabakh conflict zone in the nearest future. «I will visit Azerbaijan, Armenia and hopefully Nagorno Karabakh soon and get familiar with the situation», Devis stated in his interview with «Ekho» Baku newspaper, as reported by «De Facto» agency. The British diplomat withheld any evaluations of the situation in the region. «It would be wrong. I will express my opinion after the report has been prepared», he noted. Terry Devis noted he would meet with the OSCE Minsk group on Nagorno Karabakh. As it is known, the CE reporter activities are restricted to the NKR situation monitoring and can assist the OSCE MG efforts but they do not substitute Minsk Group activities on political settlement of the conflict in any circumstances.
