The resolution “On recognition of aggression of the Republic of Armenia against the Azerbaijani Republic” passed at the forum of the foreign ministers of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) the other day will not have any significant impact on the process of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement. Armenian foreign ministry press secretary Dzyunik Aghajanian told “Arminfo” agency about it. In her words, such resolutions are not new at all and are being passed by that organization since 1992. OIC member countries recognize themselves that it is all of formal nature and proceed from the idea of Islamic solidarity, the press secretary noted. “Armenia constantly informs the friendly countries making part of OIC about its approaches to various questions. It is reflected in the positions of those countries at the discussions of the problems in instances, which play a more important and definitive role for Armenia in general and for the process of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement in particular,” – the Armenian foreign ministry press secretary noted.
