No one remained in the Council of Europe leadership not accused in pro-Armenian moods. Director of Right Defending Center of Azerbaijan Eldar Zeynalov stated it while commenting on the Azeri parliamentarians’ attacks on member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Andreas Gross. By such actions Azerbaijan disposes its potential allies in Europe against itself, the right defender considers. When CE considers the Karabakh problem, Azerbaijan will look “in not very favorable light,” he noted. After all, Azerbaijan may be put in its place taking into account the presence of problems in the sphere of democracy, Zeynalov noted. “The attacks of the members of the Azeri parliamentary delegation upon Andreas Gross do not profit Azerbaijan and are absolutely irrelevant.” This way chairman of Fund for development of democracy and human right protection Murad Sadaddinov in his turn commented on the persecution of the European deputy. In his words, it will not do any good to Azerbaijan. It is naive to think that Gross may be displaced – Azerbaijan will have to work with him in any case. The best way to avoid conflicts with the Council of Europe is to fulfill all the undertaken obligations to that organization, the right defender considers.
