The parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe chairman shares the position of the official Yerevan regarding the Karabakh conflict peaceful settlement issue. The Armenian delegation chairman Hovannes Hovannesian has stated that summing up the PACE summer session. According to him, the Armenian party introduced the official Yerevan’s position regarding the Karabakh conflict peaceful settlement issue at the recent meeting with PACE chairman Peter Schieder. Hovannesian emphasized Peter Schieder shared the position of the Armenian party regarding that issue and promised his assistance in the process of making peace and stability in the South Caucasus. Hovannesian informed Armenian deputies had also met with the PACE secretary Bruno Galler at the PACE summer session. The Armenian party told the secretary about concerns regarding the methods of the activities of the Azerbaijani delegation to the PACE. The head of the Armenian parliamentary delegation also informed, in early October this year, Peter Schieder and Bruno Galler will visit Armenia within the framework of the regional visit. July 9 CE Secretary General Walter Schwimmer will visit Yerevan. He plans to discuss the issue of the Karabakh conflict peaceful settlement and CE-Armenia cooperation perspectives.
