The obvious change of Turkey’s position towards Armenia stems from the perception that Armenia became showing itself to be a regional factor. Ex-Premier of Armenia, head of the International Center for Human Development Armen Darbinian told “Arminfo” agency about it. As Darbinian noted, “we got used to Turkey pursuing independent policy in the region and not wishing to take into consideration Armenia as a regional factor. But official Yerevan’s rather weighted foreign and regional policy of made Turkey put up with Armenia and correct its course.” In his words, Armenia’s all contacts both on state and public levels are now more intensive than ever.
