Armenia PM to be questioned by Karabakh war commission

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will be questioned by before the commission investigating the circumstances of the 44-day war unleashed by Azerbaijan against Nagorno Karabakh in the fall of 2020.

"In order to study the circumstances of the military operations unleashed on September 27, 2020, the investigative commission invited the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan to participate in the work of the investigative commission on June 20 at 10:00 a.m.,” reports the Standing Committee on Defense and Security Affairs of the National Assembly.

“The Investigative Commission received a positive response from RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.”

The Second Karabakh war lasted 44 days and ended when Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Russian and Azerbaijani Presidents Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev signed a ceasefire statement on November 9, 2020. Under the deal, the Armenian side gave up all the seven regions surrounding Nagorno-Karabakh, having lost a part of Karabakh itself in hostilities.
