June 28 an attempt to shift their action stations towards the Karabakh army’s frontline was made by the Azeri units at the South-East direction of Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan’s armed forces contact line. According to the reports of the NKR defense ministry, Nagorno Karabakh defense sub-units took measures to suppress such actions of the Azeri party at the result of which the skirmish began. Finally, the enemy had to return to the starting point. None of the Karabakh soldiers was wounded in the course of the incident. As NKR defense ministry notes, starting with 2000 the Azeri party has made such attempts to move closer to the frontline of the Nagorno Karabakh army and fortify the new positions almost along the whole length of the contact line. At the same time the ministry warns that any attempts of such character will be suppressed henceforth.
