The armed forces of Armenia are completely ready to defend the state borders. Republic of Armenia Defense Minsiter Serge Sargsian stated it at the celebrities held in “Erebuni” Yerevan airport last Sunday. The minister highly appreciated the mastery of the Armenian pilots demonstrated in the course of the flights at “Erebuni.” The aircraft equipment possessed by the Republic of Armenia armed forces fits contemporary requirements, but the time will come, when its renewal will become necessary. In this regard Serge Sargsian noted that just that problem was one of the most difficult for our state. It is first of all conditioned by the fact that equipment is very expensive at present.
