Shooting of “Sare Gelin” – the essence of the Armenian question” film continues in Turkey. Official Ankara intends to oppose it to “Ararat” feature film of Canadian film director Atom Egoyan demonstrated at the Cannes festival recently. According to “Milliet” Turkish newspaper, the picture will be arranged in five languages. The preparatory period has taken two years and the shooting started three months ago. The film has already been shot in USA, Italy, France, Georgia, Azerbaijan, as well as in Armenia. The shooting is also expected to continue in five other countries. “Milliet” writes that opinions of French legislators, who authored the bill on recognition of the Armenian genocide, as well as head of the Armenian radio of France Henry Papazian will also be heard in the film. The material shot on April 24 in Armenia on political figures’ and Armenian citizens’ opinion will also be included in the film. According to the same source, to which “Arminfo” agency refers, in response to the preparing opening of Armenian genocide museum in Washington the American-Turkish Assembly leadership has suggested Turkish President Ahmet Necdet Sezer to open a museum in the US capital devoted to “the liberation struggle” of Turks in World War I.
