LOCAL GOVERNMENT BODIES OF GEORGIAN REGIONS POPULATED BY ARMENIANS ARE FORMED

The Central electoral commission of Georgia has summed up the final results of the elections for the local government bodies of Akhalkalaki and Ninotsminda regions populated by Armenians. The acting head of the regional administration Artyusha Hambartsumian has confirmed his leading positions at the municipal elections in Akhalkalaki. Head of the people’s education department Okro Okroyan and parliament deputy Hamlet Movsisian are also elected members of the regional assembly. They all claim the post of the head of the regional administration. The President has the right to appoint the regional head and he will have to choose someone out of the members of the regional assembly. Former Ninotsminda region head Rafik Arzumanian and businessman Rubik Mgdesian pretend to the post of the Ninotsminda administration head.
