The government has published a draft law on the e-draft platform, proposing an increase in leave duration for conscripted soldiers.
The initiative aims to encourage service in border units and enhance the attractiveness of military duty.
According to the proposal, enlisted soldiers will receive a 21-day standard leave during their service. However, those serving in units designated as special-purpose by the Minister of Defense will be eligible for 30 calendar days of leave. This leave will be granted in three equal parts throughout their service.
Conscripts undergoing 12-month mandatory service will receive a 10-day leave, granted once after their fifth month of service.
The amendments will be introduced in the "Law on Military Service and the Status of Servicemen."
