Pashinyan: captives and missing persons are key topics in talks

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that written proposals submitted to Azerbaijan include provisions on POWs and missing persons. He made these remarks during a press conference.

He assured that all issues are being discussed.

"These are individuals held in detention in violation of the November 9 trilateral statement. All issues are under negotiation. We have sent several written proposals to Azerbaijan. Perhaps their titles do not explicitly state 'agreement on this or that,' but all these topics are being negotiated; they form part of the discussion."

"Are there references to captives, hostages, and other detained individuals in these documents? Of course, there are—clearly and consistently. Can the issue of missing persons be ignored in these discussions? Absolutely not; it is always included," the Prime Minister emphasized.

Earlier, Pashinyan claimed that former political and military leaders of Artsakh held in Baku’s prison were being given psychotropic substances. He cited intelligence reports, alleging that the goal was to provoke escalation. Baku has denied these accusations.
