Yervand Mkrtchyan, representing Armenia’s national athletics team, has claimed victory in the 1500-meter race at the Balkan Winter Championships, according to Armenpress.
Armenia’s athletics team is competing in the championship with seven athletes: Yervand Mkrtchyan (running), Razmik Ghazaryan (triple jump), Milena Grigoryan (running), Gor Hovakimyan (triple jump), Yana Sargsyan (long jump, triple jump), Samvel Gevorgyan (running), and Izabella Arakelyan (long jump).
The team is led by head coach Grigor Barseghyan, with Arsen Petrosyan among the coaching staff.
