The results of the elections to the local self-government bodies of Georgian city Akhaltsikhe – the regional center of Samtskhe-Javakhetia region populated by Armenians, are announced. One out of nine positions will be held by Armenian. Tamaz Petriashvili, “National movement-Democratic front” radical opposition party representative is elected the city mayor. It should be noted the above- mentioned party is led by ethnic Armenian Mikhail Sahakashvili.
