Mane Tandilyan continues protest despite health concerns

Mane Tandilyan, co-founder of the Country to Live party, who was hospitalized on the evening of March 8, has returned to Freedom Square and continues her hunger strike, disregarding doctors' advice. This was reported by party co-founder Mesrop Arakelyan, according to Factor.am .

Mane Tandilyan declared a hunger strike on March 1 in support of Ruben Vardanyan, who is being illegally detained in a Baku prison. She hopes that this extreme action will compel Vardanyan to end his hunger strike.

Tandilyan was admitted to University Hospital No. 1. After undergoing necessary medical examinations and spending about a day under doctors' supervision, on the evening of the ninth day of her hunger strike, she returned to Freedom Square to continue her protest, reports Aravot.

"My condition slightly worsened again, and I was feeling somewhat unwell. I went back; they administered fluids again. I refused any other intervention. But the doctors have started to speak a bit more sternly with me. I assume my blood indicators are already concerning to them. I promised them that if they see signs of irreversible damage, they should inform me, and we will make an appropriate decision. I will keep my promise. I am under doctors' supervision. I am extremely grateful to them. I received treatment at the first hospital. At the moment, I feel a little better than when I went to the hospital, but worse than before going to the hospital," said Tandilyan.

In recent days, Tandilyan's condition has deteriorated several times, leading to her hospitalization; however, each time she has returned to the site of her hunger strike. Despite doctors' urgings, the co-founder of the "Country to Live" party continues her struggle, calling for these appeals to be directed at former State Minister of Artsakh, Ruben Vardanyan.
