The Armenian Foreign Ministry is closely following developments in Syria, and no Armenian citizens have been reported among those affected, according to Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ani Badalyan, as reported by Armenpress.
She stated that Armenia’s Consul General in Aleppo is in contact with local authorities and community structures.
"In recent days, there has been no change in the nature of inquiries submitted by Armenian citizens to the consulate. These inquiries mainly concern routine consular matters," she noted.
As of March 10, clashes between government forces and supporters of former President Bashar al-Assad continue in Syria’s coastal cities, though the situation in Latakia remains relatively calm. This was reported by Zarmik Poghikyan, editor-in-chief of the Aleppo-based "Gandzasar" newspaper. The "Hayakve" initiative has called for the evacuation of Syrian Armenians.
