Colonel Hasratyan warns of elites risking national downfall

Senor Hasratyan, Colonel in the reserve of the Defense Army of the Republic of Artsakh, wrote on his Facebook page that “in a country of three million, it is impossible to have three million prime ministers, but it is possible to have a corrupt group that, in pursuit of their own interests, is capable of dragging millions toward destruction.”

He emphasized that the purpose of state institutions is to provide the opportunity for a dignified life under the rule of law.

“States were not created, nor have they lived, fought, or won wars in order to build an ‘equal commune’ based on income equality. They exist so that a person may live with dignity in their own country, under the rule of law. Many countries have understood this, and today they live well—unlike us, who, like some, live poorly… The reason is simple: instead of following the example of the successful, we choose the self-deception typical of some,” he wrote.
