French Senate President Gérard Larché has reiterated France’s unwavering support for Armenia during talks with Armenian National Assembly President Alen Simonyan, according to Armenia’s Parliament’s communications office.
Simonyan, on official visit to France, thanked Paris for its “steadfast support for Armenia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, economic development, and resilience,” noting Armenia deeply values the friendly steps taken by France.
In response, Larché reaffirmed France’s continued commitment to supporting Armenia.
Their discussions focused on Armenia–France and Armenia–EU relations, ongoing democratic reforms in Armenia, the regional security situation, and the importance of signing a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
