The European Union views its latest initiative as a long-term investment in Armenia’s stability and development.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen emphasized Armenia’s strong dedication to peace and stability in a post on X, noting that the EU’s Resilience and Growth Plan is considered a strategic investment aimed at strengthening Armenia’s future.
Her statement followed a meeting in Brussels attended by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, European Council President António Costa, and von der Leyen herself.
“Great to see you again in Brussels, dear Nikol Pashinyan. You have shown Armenia’s deep commitment to peace and stability. Our ties are closer than ever, and the EU’s Resilience and Growth Plan is a strategic investment in Armenia’s future,” the Commission President wrote.
On July 14, Nikol Pashinyan traveled to Brussels on a working visit to meet with top European Union officials.
