Hakob Simidyan has been dismissed from his post as Armenia’s Minister of Environment. President Vahagn Khachaturyan signed the decree based on a proposal by the Prime Minister.
"Taking into account the Prime Minister’s proposal, pursuant to Article 131 of the Constitution and Part 1 of Article 5 of the Law on the Structure and Activities of the Government, Hakob Simidyan is hereby relieved of his duties as Minister of Environment," the presidential decree states.
In a separate decree, Hambardzum Matevosyan has been appointed as the new Minister of Environment.
The second decree reads: "Taking into account the Prime Minister’s proposal, pursuant to Article 131 of the Constitution and Part 1 of Article 5 of the Law on the Structure and Activities of the Government, Hambardzum Matevosyan is hereby appointed as Minister of Environment."
