Pashinyan denies receiving Karabakh plan from Minsk Group

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has rejected claims that he received settlement proposals from the OSCE Minsk Group during his tenure regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

He reiterated that the document handed to him was not addressed to him personally, Armenpress reports.

“I have not received any proposals from the OSCE Minsk Group. I’ve publicly stated this. I received remnants of proposals addressed to Serzh Sargsyan. In the National Assembly, I mentioned that the document people claim I received begins with: ‘The Presidents of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan…’ That document was directed to the President of Armenia, and I’ve never held that office,” Pashinyan emphasized.

He added that the paper later placed on the government’s table was the product of negotiations held during Serzh Sargsyan’s presidency.

“That document that later landed on our table was a result of talks conducted while Serzh Sargsyan was still president,” Pashinyan added.
