Еx-oversight chief hints at future mission

Romanos Petrosyan, recently dismissed from his role as head of the State Oversight Service, wrote on his Facebook page that a “key mission lies ahead for the Republic of Armenia and its citizens.”

“By decision of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, I have been relieved of my duties as head of the State Supervision Service, a position I held for more than three and a half years since December 2021.

I thank the Prime Minister for his trust and for the opportunity to serve our state and contribute to the strengthening of our statehood. I am also grateful to the entire State Oversight Service staff for their effective cooperation over the years.

I assure you that all my decisions and actions in that responsible role were guided solely by public and state interests. A crucial mission lies ahead—for the Republic of Armenia and its citizens. Long live the Republic of Armenia,” his post reads.

Petrosyan was appointed head of the State Oversight Service on December 9, 2021.

According to circulating reports, Romanos Petrosyan may be appointed as manager of Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA).
