Armenia, Palestine discuss joint projects in New York

Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan met with State Minister for Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the State of Palestine Varsen Aghabekian on the sidelines of a ministerial conference in New York dedicated to a peaceful resolution of the Palestinian issue based on the two-state solution.

According to Armenia’s Foreign Ministry, the two sides reviewed the state of bilateral relations and exchanged views on potential joint projects. They also expressed satisfaction with the participation of Palestinian diplomats in Armenia’s diplomatic school training program for foreign diplomats.

Kostanyan and Aghabekian also discussed ongoing developments in the South Caucasus and the Middle East.

Armenia has consistently supported a peaceful and comprehensive resolution to the Palestinian issue in various international platforms and endorses the two-state solution to the Israeli–Palestinian conflict. In June 2024, Armenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement recognizing the State of Palestine.
