For the first time, the Panarmenian Federation of Film Producers NGO will represent Armenia at the Venice Producers' Golden Club. The announcement was made in a joint statement by the Gagik Tsarukyan Charitable Foundation and the NGO.
Five international projects will be presented.
This year, from August 28 to September 3, the Federation's delegation will attend the 82nd Venice International Film Festival, showcasing Armenia at the prestigious Producers' Golden Club within the Venice Production Bridge. The event will take place at the Hotel Excelsior on the Lido of Venice.
The Federation will present five selected international film projects currently at different stages of production. These were chosen from the Cannes Film Market and have demonstrated competitiveness through co-production and distribution agreements signed in Cannes, as well as international investment backing.
In addition, a presentation of the world's tallest statue of Jesus Christ will be held for cinema industry professionals. Details of the project will be made public in the coming weeks, with results to be summarized in a press conference in early October.
The Venice International Film Festival was founded in 1932 with a screening of Rouben Mamoulian’s “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.” For over 90 years, it has held its status as the world’s first film festival, providing a platform for the finest in contemporary cinema and fostering collaboration between filmmakers and major industry players in historic Venetian venues.
