The closed joint-stock company Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) has announced an open competitive procedure to acquire engineering design services, aiming to ensure operational stability and meet its obligations. This initiative will include design services for cable and overhead power lines, substations, and other engineering infrastructure.
The company stated: "To guarantee objectivity, inclusiveness, and transparency in the upcoming procurement process, we plan to conduct a preliminary market study, request pricing information, and solicit proposals from a broad range of industry players."

On July 22, 2025, the Emergency Arbitration of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce ordered Armenia not to enforce provisions recently adopted under the "Energy Law" and "Public Services Regulatory Commission Law" against Electric Networks of Armenia and to cease any expropriation efforts. The Armenian government responded, stating that while it respects the decision, it maintains that the arbitration ruling does not alter the rationale behind appointing a temporary manager and that national laws must also be respected.
