Armenia’s Minister of Economy, Gevorg Papoyan, said in a Facebook post that it would be “wonderful” if the country hosted several concerts annually by international stars like Jennifer Lopez.
Papoyan shared a video after Lopez’s performance in Yerevan and spoke about the happiness it brought, emphasizing the economic value of such events.
“According to the concert organizers, about 15,000 tourists came to Armenia for Jennifer Lopez’s concert.
In 2024, the Ministry of Economy published a visitor study by an Italian-Armenian consortium, showing that tourists with packages spend an average of $888 during their stay. Based on this research, we can assert that the $6 million invested in the concert generated over $13.3 million in returns. This figure doesn’t even include many additional benefits, such as the international exposure Armenia gains,” Papoyan stated.
He added, “I believe it would be excellent to host a few such stars in Armenia every year.”
Jennifer Lopez recently held a solo concert in Yerevan, drawing about 15,000 international visitors and a total audience of over 30,000.
