Armenian, Georgian Presidents discuss strategic ties

President Vahagn Khachaturyan of Armenia met with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on the sidelines of the ongoing UN conference in Turkmenistan.

According to the Georgian government’s press service, the meeting focused on the friendly relations and strategic partnership between Armenia and Georgia. The two sides also discussed successful cooperation across various sectors and regional developments.

The importance of maintaining peace and stability in the South Caucasus was particularly emphasized, reports Radar Armenia.

Kobakhidze noted that the recent joint statement by Armenia and Azerbaijan regarding the conclusion of peace agreement talks was a key step in this direction. He reaffirmed the Georgian government's readiness to support dialogue and contribute to lasting peace and stability in the region.

President Vahagn Khachaturyan is in Turkmenbashi on a working visit to attend the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries.
