On the evening of August 7, former chairman of Armenia’s State Revenue Committee (SRC) Vardan Harutyunyan was arrested, the Anti-Corruption Committee confirmed, as reported by 1lurer.am .
“In the framework of a criminal case under investigation at the Anti-Corruption Committee, a former senior SRC official has been arrested on charges of unlawful participation in entrepreneurial activity, anti-competitive conduct, and money laundering,” the committee stated.
Vardan Harutyunyan served as SRC chairman from 2016 to 2018.
