Armenia extends supply of free medicines to three months

Starting September 2025, under revised regulations, patients will be able to obtain free and reimbursable medicines from polyclinics and certain medical institutions for a period of three months instead of the current one month, the Ministry of Health announced.

Medications for the treatment of periodic disease, phenylketonuria, pituitary dwarfism, multiple sclerosis, mental disorders, and epilepsy — excluding psychotropic drugs — may be provided free of charge for three months’ needs, regardless of social status.

In addition, medicines for cardiovascular diseases, ulcer disease, thyroid disorders, joint diseases, and other conditions may also be provided for a three-month period if the patient meets the relevant social criteria.
