Pashinyan outlines peace deal progress to Macron

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a phone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron, presenting the results of the August 8 talks in Washington, D.C.

Pashinyan informed Macron about the initial signing of the “Agreement on Peace and Interstate Relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan” and the joint statement to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) regarding the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group mechanisms.

He highlighted steps toward unblocking regional communications, carried out within the principles of territorial integrity, sovereignty, and jurisdiction of the countries, and on the basis of reciprocity. Additionally, he presented the “Trump Path for International Peace and Prosperity” initiative.

Pashinyan stressed that the established peace opens new investment opportunities in Armenia and the region.

The two leaders reaffirmed their readiness to continue active political dialogue on bilateral and international agendas. Pashinyan thanked Macron for his consistent support.
