Yerevan to host Beer Days fest August 22–24

For three days, the center of Yerevan will turn into a celebration for beer lovers. On August 22–24, Zakyan Street will host the Beer Days festival for the 4th time.

Nune Manukyan, co-founder of EventToura company, said that the festival’s goal is to highlight and present Armenia’s beer-making traditions, develop event tourism, create a favorable promotion platform for beer-producing companies, and of course, gather beer lovers in one place, Armenpress reports.

“We have been organizing the Areni Wine Festival and Yerevan Wine Days for years, which have been very successful. They have become both a well-established tourism product and a gathering for wine lovers. Now, we are trying to apply the same approach to beer. There are many beer enthusiasts, and we aim to both attract tourists and showcase our brewing traditions,” Manukyan said.

This year, instead of 14 participants in the first year, there will be more than 25 brewers, including representatives from Syunik, Gegharkunik, Kotayk, and other regions. Most companies produce local beer, and only two are engaged in imports.

According to Lilit Tsarukyan, deputy director of EventToura, the program will be diverse: “The festival area will be divided into several zones — beer, food, music, games, and competitions. Visitors will enjoy a wide variety of beers, taste unique beer-and-food pairings from Armenian and international cuisines. The game zone will be exciting, with contests and memorable prizes.”

The festival is supported by Armenia’s Tourism Committee of the Ministry of Economy, which, according to Tsarukyan, has signed contracts with eight organizations for festival organization this year.

Diana Karapetyan, head of the Tourism Committee’s Marketing and Promotion Department, said that event tourism has become one of Armenia’s key tourism sectors: “Event tourism has developed significantly in recent years in Armenia, especially festivals held in all provinces and communities. The diversity is such that anyone can find something to their taste. Clearly, these festivals boost both the economy and community life, attracting tourists.”

She also presented July 2025 tourism figures, noting that Armenia welcomed 263,592 tourists, 10.9% more than the same month last year. Most visitors came from Russia, Iran, Georgia, the U.S., as well as several European and Asian countries.
