The Investigative Committee of Armenia reports that in the Lori regional investigative department, the state has been fully compensated for damages in a criminal case concerning land degradation caused by a company’s operations.
According to the inspection by the Environmental Protection and Subsoil Inspectorate, solid waste placed by the company was carried away by water flow, contaminating 64,914 square meters of state-owned land.
Damage calculations determined that the company’s activities caused 11,583,348 drams in losses, which have now been fully reimbursed.
The preliminary investigation is ongoing.
