HEAD OF UPPER CHAMBER OF RUSSIAN PARLIAMENT SUGGESTS HOLDING REGULAR “SECRET” MEETINGS TO ITS CAUCASIAN COLLEAGUES

The chair of the Federation Council of the Russian Federal Assembly Sergey Mironov has spoken with an initiative to hold quarterly close consultations of the heads of the “Caucasian four” countries’ parliaments in order to consider and settle the current issues among these countries. At the Moscow press conference on the results of the tour over South Caucasian countries, the speaker of the Upper chamber of the Russian parliament stated his suggestion had already been supported by the leaders of Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan. The first meeting of this kind will take place in early summer in Saint Petersburg.
