Pashinyan tells Ter-Petrosyan to relax and enjoy peace

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has issued a sharp response to Armenia’s first President Levon Ter-Petrosyan, accusing him of repeatedly avoiding political responsibility in the past.

“Dear Levon Ter-Petrosyan, in 1996, you ran from confronting the election results, in 1998, you fled from power, and in 2008, you escaped the opposition,” Pashinyan wrote.

“I understand you may still want to run, but there’s nowhere left to go. And there’s no need—just calm down and enjoy the peaceful life established in the Republic of Armenia. Wishing us all a good day,” he concluded.

Earlier, Ter-Petrosyan had criticized Pashinyan’s political approach, stating that “Pashinyan’s impulsive methods aim not at urgently needed national unity but solely at further division.”
