As of September 1, 2025, forcibly displaced individuals from Nagorno-Karabakh who have received temporary protection in Armenia will be exempt from paying the state duty for citizenship applications, according to recent amendments to the Law on State Duty adopted on January 22, 2025.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs' Migration and Citizenship Service reports that applications for Armenian citizenship can now be submitted in over 40 locations. These include all regional branches of the service and a dedicated office at 3 Zakyan Street in Yerevan. Additionally, applications are accepted at the central office of the service and through mobile service centers operated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
