The families of 21 missing Armenian servicemen will continue to receive financial support. The Ministry of Defense has submitted a proposal for public discussion that seeks to extend the assistance period until the end of November 2025 by amending the corresponding government decision.
According to the proposal, “Monthly payments to the families of missing servicemen are currently set to end if payments have already been made through September 2025. As a result, by October 1, 2025, support would be suspended for 21 servicemen who remain officially unaccounted for and whose legal status has not yet been confirmed by court rulings as of August 20, 2025. Given the current circumstances, it is proposed that the support be extended through the end of November 2025.”
Financial estimates indicate that the aid to be provided to these families during October–November 2025 will total AMD 12.6 million.
This amount is expected to be allocated to the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs from the state budget for 2025 through internal redistributions.
