According to Armenia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, tickets for the upcoming Armenia–Portugal football match on September 6 are being resold at inflated prices—often several times above face value. Resellers may also attempt to sell the same ticket to multiple buyers. Only the person who first activates the QR code will be allowed entry to the stadium.
The ministry also warns that fake QR codes are circulating on websites and social media platforms.
“Dear citizens, to avoid falling victim to fraud, we inform you that, according to the Football Federation of Armenia, QR codes for tickets to the Armenia–Portugal match will only become active at 09:00 on September 6. Therefore, any QR code shown or sold before that time is fake,” the statement reads.
The Armenian national team will host Portugal at Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium on September 6. The match kicks off at 20:00. On September 9, Armenia will face Ireland at the same venue, also at 20:00.
