ENA interim manager vows better service, lower costs

Romanos Petrosyan, interim manager of the Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA), announced that consumer service quality will rise significantly. He made the statement on his official Facebook page.

“Through direct cooperation with companies supplying equipment and software to ENA—without privileged intermediaries—hundreds of millions of drams will be saved, and the quality and reliability of services provided to consumers will improve dramatically,” the post reads.

On July 22, 2025, the emergency arbitration of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce ruled that Armenia must not apply certain provisions of the recently adopted laws “On Energy” and “On the Regulatory Commission for Public Services” to ENA, and must halt further steps toward possible expropriation of the company. The Armenian government responded that the arbitration dispute differs from the objectives of appointing an interim manager, stressing that while respecting the ruling, all parties must also comply with Armenia’s legislation.
