Seven companies bid for ЕNA tender

The central office of Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) held a public session for opening the applications submitted for a tender aimed at procuring design services. A total of seven companies submitted bids.

To ensure an inclusive and transparent procurement process, the company conducted preliminary market research to collect price offers from a broad range of industry participants.

The public opening was conducted with the participation of the company’s standing procurement commission, established by order of interim manager Romanos Petrosyan, and led by Deputy General Director for General Affairs and commission chair S. Kakosyan.

During the session, it was announced that the evaluation phase of the submitted proposals will take place on September 15 of this year. Based on this assessment, the winning companies will be selected by lot according to established procedures.

The company noted it will issue a separate statement regarding the final results of the procurement process.

On July 22, 2025, the Emergency Arbitration of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce ruled that the Republic of Armenia must refrain from applying recent provisions of the “Energy Law” and the “Law on the Public Services Regulatory Commission” to Electric Networks of Armenia CJSC and must also cease any further steps toward possible expropriation of the company.

The Armenian government responded to the arbitration ruling, stating that the dispute’s scope differs from the objectives of appointing an interim manager. While respecting the decision, it emphasized that all actions must also comply with Armenian legislation.
