Philanthropist and businessman Samvel Karapetyan has filed a lawsuit against Davit Kalashyan, head of the Strong Mind, Strong Armenia NGO, with the Lori Region General Jurisdiction Court.
According to Sputnik Armenia, Karapetyan is demanding that Kalashyan retract information deemed defamatory and pay AMD 6 million in compensation.
The lawsuit claims that between August 13 and September 4, 2025, Kalashyan published videos and posts in which he discussed Karapetyan’s business activities, allegedly spreading false claims about unpaid financial obligations and other issues.
In one of Kalashyan’s posts, he reportedly stated that he would soon reveal significant information about Karapetyan’s Tashir company, claiming it would expose “what they’ve done to Armenians in their own way, with evidence.”
The lawsuit was submitted to the court on September 5 but has not yet been assigned to a judge.
