For the first time in 25 years, the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra has performed in Iran, holding a special open-air concert in the historic setting of Persepolis, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport of Armenia announced.
The performance was organized in celebration of the orchestra’s 100th anniversary and took place as part of Armenian-Iranian cultural cooperation, symbolizing the enduring friendship between the two nations.
Armenia’s Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport, Zhanna Andreasyan, addressed the audience, stating: “Tonight, against the backdrop of Persepolis, the history and culture of two ancient civilizations come together. This anniversary concert, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra, is a manifestation of the friendship, mutual respect, and cultural dialogue between our countries.”
