Minister highlights Armenia’s 2030 vision at Tokyo forum

Armenia’s Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan participated in a Tokyo business conference titled “Unveiling Armenia’s Economic Potential: Investment Opportunities and Prospects for Business Dialogue with Japan”, co-organized with the ROTOBO business association.

In his speech, Papoyan presented Armenia’s Economic Vision 2030, regional integration issues, and prospects for bilateral cooperation with Japan.

He stressed that Armenia benefits from a favorable geographic location, skilled professionals, and a clear economic development strategy. According to him, these advantages can be turned into a success story through joint efforts with Japan.

“Armenia sees Japan not only as a trade and investment partner but also as a country whose values—precision, innovation, and long-term vision—deeply align with our own development goals. Today’s conference aims to showcase concrete opportunities and explore new paths for cooperation,” Papoyan said.

He added that Armenia’s economic agenda prioritizes high value-added sectors, particularly information technology, high-tech industry, renewable energy, pharmaceuticals, and tourism.

The Prime Minister, meanwhile, visited the Expo 2025 world exhibition in Osaka and attended events marking Armenia’s National Day.
