Armenia’s Prosecutor General joins IAP leadership

According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, Armenia’s Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan has been elected as a member of the Executive Committee of the International Association of Prosecutors (IAP) at the General Assembly held in Singapore.

The IAP Executive Committee serves as the organization’s administrative and governing body. It includes the president, vice presidents, and 20 other members.

Armenia’s Prosecutor General’s Office has been a member of the IAP since January 1, 1999. This marks the first time Armenia has been elected to the Executive Committee.

The International Association of Prosecutors was established in 1995 with the aim of supporting prosecutors worldwide, strengthening the rule of law, and promoting the full application of professional ethics standards adopted by the IAP.

Around 450 participants from 80 countries gathered in Singapore for the IAP’s annual conference and General Assembly.
