Haypost has temporarily suspended postal shipments to the United States due to new customs regulations.
The suspension took effect on August 21, 2025, following a new executive order signed by U.S. President Donald Trump on July 30, which bans the import of goods valued under $800 regardless of origin. Previously, such shipments were exempt from customs duties. The first countries to lose this privilege were China and Hong Kong, starting May 2, 2025.
Because the taxation mechanisms are still unclear, many postal and courier companies have decided to halt shipments to the U.S. until American authorities provide further clarification. By late August, similar suspensions had been announced in Australia, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and several other EU states.
In Armenia, the restriction does not apply to the Haypost Express service, which delivers parcels to Haypost’s office in Los Angeles. This service operates via air transport, with a fixed rate of 4,000 drams per kilogram.
Haypost stated that regular shipments to the U.S. will resume only once the new customs rules are fully clarified.
