Spartak Ghukasyan, the son of Gyumri Mayor Vardan Ghukasyan, has been arrested, the Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed, Radar Armenia reports.
According to the Investigative Committee, during the preliminary investigation of a criminal case initiated by the Shirak regional investigative department, public criminal prosecution was launched against one individual under Article 258, Part 1, Point 4 of Armenia’s Criminal Code — extortion through other forms of coercion.
Ghukasyan has been formally charged, and the investigation is ongoing.
