Speaking to reporters, Armenian Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan discussed the economic prospects of Armenian–Azerbaijani relations, stressing that commercial ties between the two nations are bound to develop soon, Panorama.am reports.
“I once said this before and was criticized. But very soon, Armenians and Azerbaijanis will trade with each other, and we will have a common market. Azerbaijani products will be in our stores, while Armenian goods will be in shops in Baku and other cities. This is inevitable. No matter how much you want to toast against it, jump up or down, it is inevitable,” Simonyan stated.
He also argued that Armenians will buy fuel from Azerbaijan, since it is cheaper there.
